Shower of Love
Shower of Love is our annual fundraiser and friend-raiser, held at MacMahon Center at the Carmel Mission. Help give local under-resourced infants a loving start in life by supporting our baby bundle program--and learn about our other programs.
SHOWER OF LOVE SHOPPING LIST
In 2026 we plan to provide more than 400 bundles to newborns and babies in our area, each chock full of basic essentials, including many items our members make with love especially for these children. The new items we need are:
600 white or patterned onesies (0-6-month size)
600 pairs of soft pants (0–3-month size)
600 Sleep ‘n Plays (3-month size)
1000 infant board books
150 packages 1 year old disposable diapers
250 medium packages of wipes
600 pairs of infant socks (0–3-month size)
Cash donations are also fantastic, as they can:

Sponsor a diaper bag/changing station backpack for $50.00 or a complete baby bundle in a backpack at $269.00.

Help us to buy the materials for our sewers and knitters to make the handmade burp cloths, receiving blankets, knitted blankets, caps, quilts and teddy bears we include in each bundle.

Help us purchase small ($105.00) and large ($300.00) car seats for our car seat program with Natividad Hospital—which costs $6,000/year.

Fund 840 books and craft supplies for the 140 children involved in our pre-school literacy program in 7 public preschool classes in Pacific Grove, Monterey and Salinas.
